Hard decisions You may find another drawback for the SIDstation is it won't be a trance sound if you're trying to emulate that. It's a particular sound, but you won't find stuff that sounds like much else .. maybe a bit, but not quite! I think your best bet could be a Nord Lead / Nord Modular ... afterall, these babies will do 303s, drums & all the analogue action you could think of. The presets should be enough to produce the music you've described (if that's all you want!) .. and well, you might get bored and want to make something original after a while. If this is the case you're in luck because these digital beauties can be programmed in many ways. But try out the SID .. just don't expect a 303, cause this it ain't. It's much much more ! (sometimes more than you bargain for if you like predictable things!).. This is more like an old bass guitar than a synth.. andrew
