Yup, I think it is 1.30b. Do you have a list of changes that came with
the MD?

Well I just recieved my MD today and it came with OS 1.31, is this new?
I'm sure the latest
is 1.30?

No, they only sent the standard users manual, didn't even get any stickers but I don't mind
seeing as it would seem I got the brand new OS!

speaking of the users manual: does anybody here know of any resources
where I can read a bit more about the UW RAM machines usage? I find
the appendix part of the manual pretty sketchy ...

I just saw a MD-UW demo by elektron here in hamburg and figured how
limited I'm actually using this machine ;-)

one of the two guys filmed the whole time, maybe we're going to see
sth online somewhere?

the music was pretty loud, so you couldn't hear him talking very well
he had no mic. I assume everybody in the audience was just too
perplexed to complain ;-) it was sorta ... magic, I enjoyed that a
lot (although my skills didn't really benefit hehe).

the demo was with the MD-UW + a turntable and pretty much built
around "live remixing" vinyl using the RAM machines. there was a
monomachine on the desk as well but they did not use it in the first
part of the demo and unfortunately I had to leave right after that ...

especially to get to know more about the RAM machines...
nearly undiscovered land for me...

Hmm. It would be cool to see some video demos/tutorials/etc.

RAM Machines
Ctrl Machines
MIDI Machines
that sort of thing

Ableton, Reason, Reaktor, etc all host those sort of videos - why not
Hardware companies I wonder?

Go for the Palm TX (newegg.com), and then get the free app pxaclocker.
You can (safely) overclock the TX to about 500mHz then with minimal
  impact on battery life.

  Sorry for the OT guys.
