To sync a SH-101 to MD

To sync a SH-101 to MD

2006-12-14 by northern_light81

Is this possbile?

The SH-101 has no MIDI. But it has GATE OUT/In and CV out/IN.

Is it pssobile to use a sound from the MD to trigger the SH-101
through the CV IN?

Anyone has any experience with this?

Thanks

Sam

you need a cv/gate to midi converter... it is not expensive... check
kenton stuff...

you can use the MD to trigger the clock on the SH101 for arp or the
step sequencer...

yeah this is watson from bristol, just checking up to make sure you were
incorporating it into the system, i am glad to see somone that knows what
they are doing with computer programming learning it and putting it to good
use, i loved the kyma, i just didnt have the time to learn it with my
current workflow. prolly try and get one in a couple years if i can ever
get myself in a more stable work situation so i can set aside a specific
amount of time per week to really dig into it.

i spend a lot of time learning Max/msp, so i think it was the logical
way to get the Kyma... i produce experimental and drone based music, so
i'm sure Kyma will be the master piece of my studio... MD it is used to
generate clicks and sinus patterns for live situations and keep kyma,
max/msp and the visual artwork synced and working together...

Best from Spain!

PD what kind of music do you produce????
It's a question for everybody!

Octopus

2006-12-16 by Gene Schwartz

Hey, man, that Chaos button request on the Octopus forum is a GREAT idea.
The Octopus is still high on my list for early February, though it is
receiving a stiff battle from the Haken Continuum. Perhaps, miraculously,
I¹ll be able to get both.

Have you made progress with the Wretch? And didn¹t you say you were getting
your Octopus about now?

Gene

the octopus ships on monday, i had to send the wretch machine back to
metasonix as ihave an early unit and eric had some improvements he had
made in the design of the psu. i just got it back yesterday and have
not had a chance to play with it at all. i will be trying to fuck
with it tonight and sunday night, hopefully i can get some mp3s up in
the next week or so.

Try to use a pulse machine, send the audio from this track through a single
output and to SH101's external clock in.

This works great for me when I want to sync moogerfooger murf with md.

Good luck.
