Just got my Monomachine! (quick question)

Just got my Monomachine! (quick question)

2007-02-28 by DJ Paris Lee

I am quite impressed with the ballsiness in the Monomachine!

Quick Question: Currently I have my Novation Remote SL hooked up and
am able to play notes on one track. But I haven't been able to switch
to playing the other five.

Do I need to change MIDI channels to play different tracks or is there
another way?

hmmm, lets see, if you are going straight into the M/n/M then you need to
tell the Novation to change MIDI channels. in other words, change the
MIDI channel in the Novation and it'll play the other 6 tracks in the MnM
(most likely MIDI ch 1 = Track 1, ch 2 = track 2, etc.)

Im pretty new to the mono machine myself, but as far as I can tell you do have to change up
midi channels to access the different "machines". But then again, every time I think i have this
thing figured out it does somthing that is utterly confusing. You can also hear sounds on the
other machines by selecting the tracks on the actual monomachine box then hitting the
sequencer buttons. hope this was remotely useful..

...and there was darkness... And God said: RTFM

And then the Mono-users never had to change MIDI track by selecting
that special channel that follows the focus you press on the keyboard.

(I actually spent more than a month with that manual during christmas
and new years a couple of years ago, and I promise you, it's all in
there, and it's even understandable! No japane-engrish, maybe a touch
of Swenglish but that should be more understandable anyway. :)
