MM: LFO & Midi machines problem

MM: LFO & Midi machines problem

2008-09-03 by feroxnl

Hey!

I run OS 1.10C on my MM mk1, but I'm currently facing some annoying
issues. I've created a pattern on one of the MIDI channels and set up
the LFO for the according channel to control ie. the VEL or CC1
parameter. For some strange reason it's only audible now and then, but
then it suddenly stops again. I recorderd the midi output and indeed
the variation doesn't show most of the time. I tried everything, but
I'm afraid this is indeed a bug. Anyone else faced this problem?

Thanks!
Jasper

Is the LFO set to one-shot, or do you have another LFO
modifying it? I'll set up my Mono here this weekend if you
dodn't suss it.

Thanks, no I'm quite sure I'm not doing anything wrong or have any data
coming in that should be a problem. When I turn ie. the CC1 knob on the
midi channel, it outputs the midi data, but when I let an LFO control
this value, it doesn't most of the time...

Bye,
Jasper

Confirmed here with OS 1.10b. The behavior differs slightly
with LFO shapes and depth, but is essentially the same.

It's a lot better on OS 1.20b, bar a little bit of flakiness
that may have been end-user error. I see a steady LED at
high speeds {using an Elektron TM-1} rather than a jumpy one
with periodic rests.

I recommend upgrading.

Thanks Niall,

I'll try upgrading. It's a highly powerfull feature that I honestly first
thought of yesterday..:)

Thanks again!

Hey Nial,

I upgraded last evening. The CC output is correct now, but the modulation of LEN(gth) and VEL(ocity) still doesn't work at all. Everyone else noticing this? It's quite a bug, I'd say!

Thanks,
Jasper
