Hey Shannon! 

Elektron just released a new OS version a week or so ago. Try updating
your version. If it continues to crash as you stated then contact
support at Elektron. Jon is very helpful and will get back to you very
quickly. It sounds like it might need to be sent back, but factory
restore and then update your unit.

Check your power supply too, the MD's are very succeptible to power
spikes and drop outs.  A cheap UPS has solved  alot of people's
issues, and is good practice anyway.

Doesn't sound good but I'd try reinstalling the latest OS before contacting Elektron.
