Has anyone else noticed their machinedrum dropping random notes in a sequence? or changing the tone of one sound for a single step? Mine drops a note every once in awhile, or something like the bass drum will go 'tick' instead of 'boom' for a single trigger... just wondering ripe

When I use parameter locks on the first note of a pattern, the first time the pattern plays, the parameter modification does not happen, but the second time through the pattern, it's fine. weird eh? Yup, and I am running the latest OS from Elektron. Just let the same
pattern (without any parameter locks), and some beats suddenly drop
out. The Elektron guys haven't hidden any auto-fill-in functions that
we don't know of?
Another thing... I just had a very simple hihat-pattern running. All
other tracks were muted. On the same two steps (with hihats on them) I
heard a clerarly audible short "tick" that was not part of the hihat
sound.
Enough whining now. I love this machine. Wonderful user
interface. Easy, intuitive (except for the order of the rec/play/stop
buttons) and simple to use. Now I believe that modern machines can be
fun (I just have to get that midi->sync24 converter real soon now...)!
This far I've programmed some drum'n'bass, weird electronica, stomping
techno (love that compressor, be afraid Jeff Mills) and spent some
hours just tweaking the delay unit...
Elektron, where do I sign up for your next product?
/Janne
PS.
It doesn't get too warm either, so I can sit in my sofa with the MD in
my lap and program beats... :)
DS.
