RE: [elektron] selling some Elektron gear

Hi,

I'm professionally a percussionist... (drums, tabla, anything you hit
basically). Over the last couple of years, as I have been doing music more
and more (percussion), the electronic stuff has been fading away. No time,
less interest, etc... So, I'm definitely not giving up MUSIC ... I'm setting
aside composing electronic music, but I'm performing A LOT, just other sorts
of music. Indian music, classical music, studio sessions, electronic music
(playing percussion for other people's projects), etc... and teaching quite
a lot too.

You can see on www.percussionist.net

And, the elektron instruments are basically the last to go. Over the last
few years, I have sold my other gear, and I was saving these JUST IN CASE.
But, still ... I will miss the instruments, but they're just not being used
right now. I owe it to Elektron to make sure that the instruments are used
by someone, not just sitting on my desk doing nothing! I would rather see
owned by one of you guys, making some quality music with them...

We'll see!

later,

Shawn

You are a percussionist ? Have you tried the HPD15 from Roland ?

For other people, i have tested the next update of the machindrum (1.12)
and all the bug you speak about are fixed ( machinedrum who crash when
playin with M4 etc...).
And there is another thing really good... :))))

HPD15, no. I have an old octopad though... not quite the same. In general,
the only time I've triggered drummachine has been when I played with a house
DJ. It was fun, but he always found my sounds to be too electro :) ehehe

Generally, I play acoustic percussion, though often amplified and sometimes
with fx... depends on what the person hiring me wants!

Hey guys, does the OT thread made you blind? ;-)
1.12 is coming, and with an addiction!
Does anyone know when it will be posted?

Probably next week...

Another little info ?
- You will choose the next pattern without use another hand...
- With the LED you will know what pattern of a bank is use or not.
- When you will create a 32 step pattern of a 16 one, the 16 first will be
copy to the 16 left automaticly
