i use http://www.bome.com/midi/sendsx/ for sysex-ing. it works fine with the sidstation, but with the machinedrum i always get "sysex error code 1!" and the pattern starts playing. any help or better programm recommendations (preferrably something easy to use with no overload of functions)? greets, sid / http://www.zerozillion.net

I use MidiOx (http://www.midiox.com/) It's always worked well for me. It has tons of features, but I just use the Sysex stuff. c.

I get SysEx Error Code 1 too when using MidiOX. Does anyon know what this Error Code means? I get it when transferring the SysEx files (patterns/kits) posted in this group. --- In elektron-users@y..., Corey Appleby <digitalwank@m...> wrote: > > I use MidiOx (http://www.midiox.com/) > > It's always worked well for me. I'm not sure if this is what is happening to you but I found that if MIDI clock is coming out of the MD when I'm doing sysex transfers, the sysex packets get cut up and makes them invalid. Odd thing is if you press stop, the md still sends midi clock. you have to go to global and disable it. Once I did that I received just as many packets in my sysex app as the md said it was sending. So all was good at that point. If you're using some other source for clock that might be causing the issue to. It might be a normal thing or it might be a MD bug. but you can easily work around it. I haerd here? or at the korg ms2000 list that midi clock can slow the transfer of data through the slow midi connection and cause a delay error. I haven't done any transfers with my md however. Another thing about midi clock. I used my mpc for the master clock and put my md on ext clock. The md clock would vary(+-0.20bpm) when I did this. I think the clocks can't synch perfectly because of the different formats? Can someone explain this better? --- In elektron-users@y..., Gavin Cook <gavc@g...> wrote: > I'm not sure if this is what is happening to you but I found that if > MIDI clock is coming out of the MD when I'm doing sysex transfers, the > sysex packets get cut up and makes them invalid. Hi, I was just wondering if other peoples MD screens get a little
bit dimmer when they go into MUTE mode, and all the LED's light up.
This happens to me, and I wonder if it's normal...
Also, can other people put LFO's on the NOTE of a MIDI machine?
I tried it but it didn't work for me...just wonderin',

I tried LFO on the velocity level on a MIDI machine, that didn't work
either...
