Syncing MD to Reaktor

Syncing MD to Reaktor

2003-02-12 by Polyhex .

Hello,

Another syncing problem.....

I tried to sync my MD to Reaktor standalone last night. Using the MD as the
master reakor receives the MIDI clock but it constantly jitters around
slightly the wrong tempo (up to 1 BPM out, you can watch the bpm meter in
reaktor moving up and down).

I then tried to use reaktor as the master and slave the MD but the MD
doesn't seem to receive up any midi clock (I hope this is more likely a
reaktor not transmiting thing).

So to any Reaktor heads and the MD massive...

Has anyone succesfully synced these two together and can you share your
settings?

Thanks,

polyhex

yeah dude, I actually have done quite a bit of jamming with
Reaktor and MD....

...without connecting them via MIDI.

They're both so stable, I can jam for easily 10 minutes without
a detectable loss of sync.

Try it!

BTW, MIDI sync improved greatly with os 1.11. maybe all sync did?

Cheers for the reply....

I had another work out last night and found out that the XP drivers for my
wamibox laptop soundcard default to pointing the midi out to the internal
synth(which actually isn't available through the current drivers) not the
midi out socket (Doh!)......

So I was able to slave the MD to Reaktor. I would reccomend doing it this
way round as there's none of this jittering constant clock changes (That
reaktor was reading) and it seems that reaktor takes into account the audio
latency, delaying the audio clock so that the triggered sounds are in
time... :)

I just got a wami box, because I found it used. I can't get it to work. Can you point me somewhere where I can get some help? I load the software and can't use the software because something is missing. Something to do with the DLL KERNEL32 and something else. Basically I can't get the sound through the computer. I even tried wavlab. Thanks!
