You may find it silly but, I'd say my Paia Fatman is unique cuz I
built it. Also a resistor is a little burnt because I put it
together a bit wrong, this may have changed the sound. But they are
very limited soundwise. I guess you could modify it anyway you wish
but, I'm not that good at electronics. When I put it through my
mfc42 filter, which I'm getting rid of, really beefed up the fatman's
cheap sound. It was fun to put together.

Having lived in Oklahoma, USA for some time I've had the fortunate
opportunity to visit with the Paia crew on a couple of occasions. You
talk about old grey haired cool cats. Those familiar with Craig Anderton
know this by now. These guys have been around. Their DIY kits are fun
and sound pretty unique. If you want your own sound it's the best way to
go. Their kits can get you started if you have the spare time. Of course
they are very limited but that can be remedied through your creativity.
Check out their site:

sync CubaseSX to MD

2003-02-16 by Federico Ciapi

I'm trying to sync cubaseSX to the MD midi clock.
I've set-up everything as suggested by someone on this list.
Here is a screenshot:

unfortunately, Cubase always stands "idle", waiting for the MD clock
(which, of course, is sent, I've checked)
Have you got any hint?
syncing the MD to cubase isn't really stable.
Many thanks!

No pictures on yahoo, so:

- Timecode source: MIDI Timecode
- Machine Control: No
- Midi input and output for midi machine control: none
- Midi input for Midi timecode: midi in linked to MD midi out
- Send midi clock to all ports
- Don't send midi timecode to any port.

This is driving me crazy...

Hi,

may have been answered already, but MD sends MIDI clock.... NOT Midi timecode. Don't think SX can sync to MIDI clock...

Someone else said that he has been able to sync Cubase to the MD...
I haven't.
