knobs getting 'stuck'

knobs getting 'stuck'

2003-02-26 by buzzard2uk <nosebleed@appleonline.net>

Hi,

I seem to having trouble with my MD knobs, they don't seem to
be 'catching' very well at the moment, i mean, if
i'm turning 'knob C' the values don't increment correctly,
sometimes they even go backwards or just get stuck,
it's the same for the tempo knob, alot of the time the tempo goes
backwards when turning it clockwise, it gets
worse the faster you turn the knobs. i'm wondering if this has
happened to anybody else and if there's an easy fix for this, are
the knobs dirty underneath
and just need cleaning? I am playing out in smokey clubs alot
and wondering whether this is damaging the
knobs.

Any quick help would be greatly appreciated as i'm playing an
important gig this weekend and would dearly love
to have this fixed ASAP.

Thanks,
Steve.

Sounds serious, maybe its the alcohol too. Just kidding. The smoke
can be damaging.
