excuse me for a non elektron related question, but i know some MD users own the DSI evolver.
i am thinking of replacing a waldorf pulse with an evolver and would like to know whether it can hold its own with analogue bass sounds.
the downloads on the site dont really show this side of it off.
i think that the pulse sounds very 'clean' and doesnt quite have the quality im looking for, maybe its oscillators are too stable? i dont know : but can the evolver sound rumbling and smooth at the same time for lack of a better description ?

I highly recommend the dsi evolver! Yes, bass, no problem. It is highly versatile!

I think the sound samples on the site are dry sounds. I think with
some filtering and effects it will sound better. This is what makes
the evolver worth getting. My Paia fatman is analog but sounds like a
farting furby without more processing.
