Personally, I think it's best for a company not to reveal anything at all... not even
a little teaser. Otherwise people might start making expectations and they might even
start rumours about it. All of this would have a negative effect on the final
product's reputation. Look at Emagic, makers of the great Logic sequencer: they never
reveal anything at all until they know they'll be able to deliver the final product in
60 days or so! And another reason not to reveal anything is because of the hard
competition in this market. It'd be very easy for another brand to steal an idea and
work it out quickly before Elektron even had the chance to bring it to the market:
don't forget that companies like Yamaha and Roland have lots of engineers working on
every project whereas Elektron is still a small company which can't afford to make
mistakes!

I'm sure everyone at Elektron is doing a great job and whatever they're working on
right now, will probably be a wonderful "thing" again. I hope it'll have as much
character as the SIDStation. I still think the SIDStation is the synth with the most
character in many years. Daniel, Mikael and Anders: you've got my full support!!! Keep
up the great work and surprise us with another hit whenever you think the time is
right!

Well, I started the list and I didn't intend to raise any expectations. I just wanted
to make sure that IF Elektron makes a new machine, the list can also handle this and
doesn't have to be changed. So, I didn't mean anything by that... sorry if I
disappointed you.

I agree! I can also imagine that all of us are talking about "the great elektron
collection of synths" in ten years from here, when Elektron has 50 employees wordlwide
and is a world-famous brand.... hmmm... it's so nice to dream... but it's also very
nice to be part of something great like the SIDStation! I luv'it!

Ciao,
Joeri
