an introduction and a question:

my name is tom, and i am a gearwhore. i have now
turned my greatest trick, and own a machine drum. i
got it by trading daniel my 909, which i shipped to
sweden and then got md back. Having spent 48 hours
'with machinedrum' I am totally convinced I made the
right choice. I also own a korg ea-1, a yamaha dx200,
a novation bass station, a juno106, a tr505, a yamaha
su-10, some mixers, pedals and too many chords to
carry in one trip unless you are 6'1" 250 like me. I
live in vancouver, and think Richie Hawtin rules
totally.

Does anyone have a drumkit that is basically a 909 ?
Like, the closest they have gotten to emulating it. I
know that emulating a 909 is not the loftiest goal
(hello, no mute buttons) but I am interested in
hearing how close u can get.

Tom

I remmeber there was a webpage

where some dude was trying to create 909 samples on the machinedrum. He had
comparisons of the 909 sounds and next to them closet he could get with the
MD. However, i can't find the link anymore

Anyone here got the link
