When is the MD going to get updated?

When is the MD going to get updated?

2003-06-09 by :'(

So, now that we know the MonoMachine is not coming out for at least a couple
months, and by the way they stated it in their friend update they are ready
except for parts (not that I believe this, but that¹s how it sounded) Who
thinks we will actually see some improvements and additions to the MD? I
don't, but I sure wish I did.....does anyone out there think the MD is going
to be updated with new machines, templates, all the other great suggestions
we have seen on this bopard from time to time, or will it just stay the
same? it's been over a year (?) now since anything has been done to thhe MD,
and I forsee it staying the same while new projects come out, and eventually
in a couple years the MD2 comes out

comments?

I expect they'll be working on the MM software, debugging it and
adding things they thought they didn't have time to include for a June
release. That's what I got out of the update, anyway.

You're probably right. The way I see it, the MD gives you everything
you need to make a unique sounding type of track, right now. I use it
every day, and the only feature I feel is missing is a little stand to
make it sit up at an angle.

I would rather they come out with an MD2 (or ElektronDrum or whatever
crazy thing they come up with) in a few years than for them to spend
that time rewriting the MD and developing no new instruments.

On the other hand, if they could afford/find some more guys to work on
multiple things at once, that wouldn't be so bad either.

Agreed, but I can still wish that the sample rate reduction effect would be
replaced/augmented with a bit depth reduction tool, and I do so every night
as my head hits the pillow.

It would be so very useful...far more so than the limp SRR tool that is
present on the MD now...IMHO.
