right now...i rarely see them for sale at all

You need to get the serial number
To check its not one of the early batches

O/S is midi upgradeable

Were there problems with early batches ?

the first 100 of them had problems with the outputs and they had
different (problematic) knobs. check out www.elektron.se/announce.php
and click on "early Machinedrum quality control"

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
