What's next for Elektron??

What's next for Elektron??

2003-07-18 by puffy98115

Hello there,

After listening to the audio samples at the Elektron web site, I was blown
away. There products sound awesome. The Machinedrum sound is amazing.
Elektron is by far the most interesting hardware company I've seen in a very,
very, very longtime.

Because they are very interested the "vintage" sound, I wonder if they are
thinking about creating a vintage style sampling drum machine like the E-mu
SP-12. I know the Machinedrum uses SP-12 samples. As a SP-12 user, I
would pay a lot money for a new 12-bit style drum machine sampler.

Anyone know what Elektron is doing next?

right now they're preparing for the release of their new baby, the
MonoMachine. see http://www.monomachine.com for more details.

they've also been busy setting up an Elektron partner network whereby
potential customers can receive a demo of Elektron products by a
partner (someone who has experience with the given product). this will
make it easier for people to get a feel for machines that are only
sold over the internet.

after that, i hope they release a MonoMachine module, because i'm
holding off on purchasing the MM in hopes that they will. mainly
because it would be lighter and smaller, cost less and generally just
make more sense with my setup (since i already have a MIDI keyboard).

Joe.
