MD help needed

MD help needed

2003-07-23 by Simon

I have Cubase 5 as the master clock for the MD.
Everytime Cubase runs thru a midi part, the MD plays
the wrong Kit or i can hear notes playing that are not in the
patterns.
I can't figure out why this is happening. I have tried Cubase as
theMaster clock with other synths and samplers and never had
this problem.

Can someone please tell me what's wrong,

Thanks,

Simon

What midi data are you sending on midi channels 1-4? By default the MD
listens to those midi channels. If you enter the global settings page
you might be able to filter out the note events. I'm not sure, I'm not
doing the midi waltz, but someone else on the list has probably done
that before.

The MD is responding to the midi data in the midi part.
You can setup the MD to trigger patterns with midi notes and you can
trigger drum sounds.
Probably the midi part in cubase is on the same channel as the base
channel of the MD.
You must check the settings in the Global menu/ midi settings.
You can select wich midi key's respond to notes or tracks, just
switch them off.

Thank you Ronald and Janne for the help.
I was gone all week so i didnt have access to my computer.

The answer to my question was so obvious that i'm a
little embarassed to have asked it.

Anyhow, i had the same channels open on my synth and
the MD, don't know why i didnt check that in the first place.

Thanks again guys,

Simon
