Ah... I was being a wise-ass.  San Buenaventura is the full name for 
Ventura.  Sounds nicer in its full form.  Kind of like 
Los Angeles = El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reyna de Los Angeles de 
Porciuncula.
