I'm sure more than one of this first 100 are going to hit ebay well before the official release. what can you do - people are vultures these days. ______________________________________________________________________ Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca

is there some legality that can state that since it is not a full monomachine(which is define with a full 1.0 os), that they can't deifne it as the certain price of 1900? becasue it really isn't a full monomachine. it's a very very very wrong thing for them to do. And i hope they cancel this person's order. The only ebay monomachine i expected was from somone who didn't really enjoy it, and wished to not have to spend money ot hsip back to sweden. Very disrespectful. :-/ IO hope elektron finds a way to cancel the order. As i really think hte first 100 beta buyers are that, beta buyers, the monomachine's not out till december. only the beta is, which is for testing, creating patches(maybe translated into presets), and demo mp3s. I sincerely hope they take action, if they don't, i'm prepared to create a boycott against this particular person, and to advertise on as many forums to not buy this monomachine, as well as to not buy any other piece of gear sold by this person. definatley an unethical maneuver by this person, which might cost him his very sales. comprimising consumer trust is someting that is very bad to do. and this type of marketing is very wrong. and can seriously damage your business. Since i believe many elektron users are very powerful in user groups which this synth is in demand for (lets face it the biggest buyers of early monomachines are peopole who are reallly into it), i feel that this compromises his entire company's well being on the market. which also will incur many problems on his name if he wishes to stay in this industry. if people wish to take it to that level of finding it that disrepectful, which I do. Not to mantion elektron also said they will release 30 more units in october, due to the demand...so his advertisement also lies...false advertisement is a big deal, which u can be sued for...:) well anyways cheers m8s:) i'm very upset at this assholes way to try and rip off elektron. I hope no other dealer simply buys elektorn products under the friends guise simply to make extra money. and to take advantage of elektrons amall busines nature, without the best of lawyers gaureunteeing them protection of this. almost like how hte RIAA is attacking people .... --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Roonan" <info@r...> wrote: > --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Joe <jmelnyk@c...> wrote: > > buying one with the outright intention of selling it at an inflated > > cost is just wrong. and not a very "friend" thing to do (especially

anyone here notice that he has not in any way advertised that this is a BETA release MM without any preset patches, or any other information??? I am sorry, but I have to say that buying a BETA release product through a special limited offer and then turning it around and selling it for an inflated price on a users group is just plain wrong. Very disappointing. Why buy it if you aren't even going to try it out???

To Be honest I wanted one too - but I was asleep then at work when I got the Friend Mail. By the time I got home to check the finances and finally order, there was 0 left :( It seems a shame that this person will do this when at least two other people were very interested in the Mono. Elektron - if you do cancel this order please let us know so someone that WANTS one could order? Elektron has *got* to be happy with the MM response. Kudos to everyone! And - Go, Daniel! Go Daniel! Go Daniel! Yes, we are actually overwhelmed. :) With so little information out we didn't hope for the response to be this good. Sorry about that btw, we just put all resources in getting the stuff ready instead! Daniel

>>>>> Stacey Dodds writes: sd> anyone here notice that he has not in any way advertised that sd> this is a BETA release MM without any preset patches, or any sd> other information??? untrue. in the "terms" section it does state "beta". further, there's no mention of preset patches being available. elektron didn't market or sell these as "not for resale" machines; all this talk of "cancel the order" &c. sounds like sour grapes to me. if elektron's past behavior (namely raising the price of the last 100 sidstations) is anything to go by, they approve of this brand of capitalism. hey -- it could have been worse, he could have bought 25 of them. cheers, k. -- kevin montuori montuori@... Well, it's not that bad, is it. We can never control the end use, so if a customer or two want to do like this it's out of our direct control. Of course we do not promote that people do some kind of black market of our friend offers. However, we just announced the release of a few extra units for the friend beta price. Maybe that will disturb his business a little. :) Daniel

We've all had a good shot at expressing our views on this. The predominant opinion - taking advantage of the market to this degree is not a nice thing to do. The rights of any party here that may be wronged or violated is Elektron and it is equally Elektron's call as to any and what type and degree of action is required. Via Daniel's pressence in this thread I'm sure Elektron knows the issue. Now that we've expressed our consensus opinion and given Elektron our support - Can we close this thread and move on?
