monomachine... won't boot (daniel?)

monomachine... won't boot (daniel?)

2003-09-22 by ripe101

I just got my monomachine and plugged it in... the elektron logo
shows up and then stays there.

I booted to test mode and everything seems OK, all the buttons and
LEDs work. I did a factory, empty and soft reset... nothing
happens, the elektron logo justs stays on the screen.

Any help?

I'm with dead monomachine.

I hope I don't have to send it back already! (same thing happened
with my beta machinedrum)

thanks
JK

that SUCKS! fortunately, I've had better luck so far. but not too much
time to play with it today, really.

please, keep us informed of what happens with your MM; and I hope you
don't have to send it back.

crossing my fingers for you....
Joe

Well, I had set the day aside for Monomachine. Hopefully it is
something software related so I can just reload the OS and get on
with it relatively easily.

I did notice that the keyboard portion of the MM has a separate piece
of metal for the faceplate, so maybe someone will try to perform a
separation surgery sometime! If elektron doesn't beat them to it.

cheers

Hey JK!

1. switch it on while holding "function" key
2. choose "empty reset" from the menu

best

Flo,

I've tried all three of the reset types with no luck. I guess I'll
be waiting until I hear back from Elektron.

cheers
JK

I hope so too.

nice! yeah, I noticed that as well. I had originally decided not to get
the MM; I was going to hold out for the module version. but some folks
at Elektron said that it might be quite a while, since they had only
thought about it so far and had not made any plans, etc. so I decided to
bite the bullet for now.

it should be noted, however, that the MM does say "6 track multiple
synthesis sequencer keyboard" (with "keyboard" in a different color) on
it. with a designation like that, I imagine they have something up their
sleeves.
