Live Sets

2003-09-23 by Tom S.

Hey Dudes,

I just played a show at the planetarium in Vancouver.
It was fairly cool, representin with the MD. Its a
tape-deck mix turned wave turned mp3 in my case (at
least it's not my friend mux's 'ambience' recording).

Most of this is just pattern switch and mute buttons
on the MD.

sets at: http://eastvan.bc.ca

Gear list:
MachineDrum
Korg EA-1
Juno106
yamaha DX200
yamaha SU10
Alesis Wedge Reverb
Tascam mm-100 mixer
Ensoniq DP/4 ( borrowed and then barely used)

MD has totally given me the tools to throw down live.
I traded my tr909 to Daniel H. for it and since then
I've been about ten times better sounding. Most of the
synths (save the EA-1, basically) are sequenced using
midi machines, too. MD is my cubase.

Tom

Vancouver BC? We're frikkin neighbors. I cruise up there on occasion
for good times away from the mayhem here. I feel safer in BC than I do
here in the US these days.

Downloading the set now. Great live rig, man.

So the MD replaced a TR909 eh? I bet elektron loves to hear that. ;-]

Daniel H? Is that Elekron's Daniel H? I heard they were disecting
Roland TR's and measuring the frequencies (possibly for MD algorithms),
so I was just curious...

Tom,

Awesome set. It's on my iPod, and will live there for a good while for
sure. Let me know if you're playin again anytime soon, I'll make a
trip up for it.

Cheers,

Damon
