MM os update with Logic

Does anyone here know how to update the OS of the MM to 9.1 with Logic Platinum 6? I have the Emagic/Mackie external mixer board for my midi i/o. Also, how do I save the patches that I already have programmed? Any help would be appreciated! -schwag
