hello list! ive had some problems with my MD lately, just wondering
if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

1 when i turn the scroll wheel quickly the sound selection LEDs
aboveit randomly light in an unusual way, out of sequence.

i have factory reset my machine about 10 times in the past week. its
a bow wow.

this one has happened to me before; both when I have an input machine
in the kit (but it hasn't been trigged yet) and when I do not. very
strange.

never this one. but occasionally, parameter values will "wrap" from
127 to 0 again. this usually occurs in the LFO menu, if I remember
correctly.

that's a feature, not a bug. :-) check out the manual, it's supposed
to do that. I normally don't notice, because I set the MD MIDI
channels up to not conflict with anything in the MIDI chain (the MD's
base channel is the channel that the buttons transmit on).

this happens to me as well. the nord2 is pretty picky, it seems. I
have to hit "panic" pretty often (whether the MD is sequencing it or
not). I think that's a case of the wrong MIDI pointers or lack of
note-off messages being sent. at least it seems to occur at such times
as these things are relevant. the SID, I really don't know; weird
things seem to randomly occur with it occasionally. so I don't know
which machine's fault that is.

I have one to add, though: very often, if I enter song mode after
playing in pattern mode for awhile, I am unable to mute or unmute
anything in the song steps and a soft reset is required. I haven't
found the exact scenario required for this (or any of the other bugs
listed above), so I can't really submit anything to Elektron yet.

still, this machine is incredible... and one should keep in mind that
these bugs are pretty minor, rarely occur and will probably be fixed
with future OS updates. but it's good to report them here, since then
others can help to recreate them and track down the conditions under
which they occur. which in turn will help Elektron find and fix them.

The first thing I have to say is send this list to elektron. I think
it's info@.... The email is on their support page.

I haven't noticed this but I have noticed strange LED behavior from
time to time. Like how they should blink in the sequence.

I haven't experienced this. Maybe it is a voice limitation on your
other synths? I have notice strange behavior with my ms2000.

I have experienced this only recently. I have no idea however.

This has happened to me mostly when I copy and paste notes. It has
happened another way but I don't remember. Annoying none the less.

This is your MIDI mapping in the Global menu. Answered above.

Try turning your input level down. This is the first parameter on the
top left of the machine. Yea, it seems noisy and somewhat weak.

My MS2000 does too but only if I'm running a sequence from the midi
machine and play more notes on top of them using the keys from a
Virus. I thought it could be because of my daisy chain. Do you have
a long midi chain?

I haven't noticed this. It does happen if I accidently hit classic
and freakout.

I haven't reset my machine, ever. I have had to turn it off and on
many times. Remember to send this to Elektron with more explanation
about when these things occur.

MDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMDMD

thats happened to me a few times. simply turning it off and on has
always fixed that problem.

ill try to document the exact circumstances the next time MD plays up

 :)

I have come across this problem also, and I think I also have the
solution, unless I'm encountering a slightly different problem to
you.

I think if you have a pattern selected in pattern mode (eg. you've
been playing around with A10), and then you change to song mode, you
won't be able to edit the song mutes for that particular pattern
(ie. A10 - in this case). this is just what I think happens.

so if you find yourself in this situation, go back into pattern mode
and change to a pattern that you aren't using in song mode (because
quite often, I find I'm using the same patterns in both modes one
after the other).

hope this helps.
