Programming chords for arp. [daniel ?]

Programming chords for arp. [daniel ?]

2003-12-03 by Roonan

I've been playing with programming chords for the arp and I like it a
lot! (great job elektron) But I found that it is impossible to
program chords wich span more key's than one hand can handle since
you need the other hand to press and hold the trig button. Is there a
already a trick to hold this trigger so you can use both hands to
program the chord? Or maybe a way to enter the key's for the chord
one by one?

Ronald.

I've noticed the same and found this work around...

You can play the notes of the chord one at a time as long as you press
the next note before releasing the previousWhat I have found that works
is to hold one note before pressing the next. This lets you play a
chord "note by note" (arpeggio).

Thanks, Ronald.

drK, your solution is far more elegant! I've been using a stack of
coins taped together to set on function. ;-]

You can also use the cursor keys to enter chords (both in internal
and MIDI sequencer). Press cursor down to reach a new position, and
use left/right to adjust it.

Great! Thanks.
I'm looking forward to the manual becuase there seem to be a lot off
tricks and features we haven't figured out ourselves.

That trick IS in the "manual", though. It's in the MIDI sequencing
section (because that was the only sequencer that could handle chords
at the time).
