[MonoMachine] Couple of dumb questions ...

[MonoMachine] Couple of dumb questions ...

2003-12-04 by Dave

Hey Group,

Ok, I JUST took the MM out of the box and started messing so I know these
are stupid questions and I will RT(little)FM but ...

I have 6 tracks playing loops in pattern mode and I'm messing with the
joystick - how do I record the tweaks so they play as part of the pattern?

I know, I know I will read up a bit more but just thought someone might have
a quick answer ...

Thanks,
Dave

P.S. I was moving the Mono from one room to the other and banged it off the
door - theres a big chunk gone outa the door - heavy beastie isn't it!!!

you can't. only knob tweaks can be recorded (press play and record at
once to do this in "realtime record" mode), unfortunately.

The main reason you can not record the joystick is that there is no
place for recording the pitch destinations in the sequencer. Even if
you could record it you would not be able to edit the pitch, which
would be rather non-perfect. Instead, the Joystick lives its own
real-time life, which hopefully is useful to some people.

As mentioned here before, there is a freeze-trick you can use by
interrupting the data-stream by changing track while you are moving
the joystick!

Hi Daniel,

Many thanks for this info - I really look forward to getting further into
the MM¹s features :)

Many congrats to the entire team, in the short time I¹ve played with the MM
I¹ve fallen in love!

Well done!
