(MnM) copy only parts of long track?

(MnM) copy only parts of long track?

2004-01-22 by ripe

I looked through the manual, but I may have missed it...

Is there a way to copy all steps 1-16 to steps 17-32 (for example) when you
are working with a longer pattern? Something like what happens
automatically when you switch from 16/16 to 32/32 scale. Copying each note
one at a time is very tedious.

Or maybe as an alternative each track could have a different scale setting
and the longest track serves as the 'loop track' which controls when a
pattern would change to the next? Then you wouldn't need to copy a
repeating track to fit the scale length.

Hey Ripe,
Page copy: You can copy just a "page" of 16 steps by holding down the [1/64] "page switcher" button and pushing [COPY] or [PASTE] (you do not need to hold [FUNCTION]).
It is totally useful, a really great feature, though not obvious from the button labels.
