Hello

Stop trying to compare a 909 and a Machinedrum : they are different !!!! The
909 is not better than Machinedrum and a Machinedrum is not better than a
909 or other drum machine....

The Machinedrum is not a 909 emulation, so if you like and want 909 sound,
buy a 909

As much as you would pay for a 909 you could buy a
machinedrum and have more sounds than the 909 has ;)
Besides the 909 has been used over and over time and
time again, I like the machinedrum because of the more
Futuristic sounds that it can produce.

No. He said that he has both and that they're both good for different
reasons. He just stated those reasons because he was *asked* to do so.
Which there is, of course, nothing wrong with. That's what discussion
groups are for - discussing.

i might add, that a guitar or a violin have been played to death, but
few people in the classic world seem to notice...
it seems, those old sounds still make some people happy...

yes and to each their own, if I had the extra cash I'd
own every drum machine and synth ever made but for the
people who don't have enough cash to buy both, my
choice and this is just me would be the machinedrum.
:) but then again nobody is saying anything about
buying either one, this is just for some people who
don't own a machinedrum or a 909 is why I brought up
my comment :)

Hi,
i have the Monomachine and the XBASE09 for Drums. All i need! Well,
maybe not, think about getting YellowTools Culture for Percussion. I
think for analg Bassdrum and Snare XBase09 is the best you can get. If
you only want the kick, Yomox produced the MBase-01, which "only" an
analog Bassdrum, a bit approved over the XBase.
In my case i prever XBase/MD-Couple much more against the old Rolandstuff.

Uuuuups, i made a mistake in my last male.
I ment the MACHINEDRUM and XBASE!!!!!
Not that i don't own a monomachine, but i still prever the MD for Drums.

To everyone that miss the classic sound. You can always do what I do.
I got myself a cheap as Novation Drumstation that I trigger from my
MD. So there, I got the best of two worlds, for a wallet friendly
price.
