So how does the experience of using the Electribe sequencers compare to the Elektron equipment? I keep being tempted by either a MachineDrum or now a Monomachine, but the Korg equipment is a lot less expensive. Well, the old stuff is. The new Electribes not so much. Mark

Using the input for sampling will never get the same quality as importing waves. My advise, use a PC and Audio software to record/edit the samples for best results. The engine supports up to 44.1 KHZ so it should be good enough. My short experience is that it sounded as I expected, a good solid clean sound. The tube overdrive can give the sound extra body and seems a good bed. >From: Mark Hamburg <mark_hamburg@...> >So how does the experience of using the Electribe sequencers compare to the >Elektron equipment? If you want loud and noisy you can go for the new E-tribes. (Tubes!) If you want high quality, detailed sounds the Elektron gear can't be beaten by the E-tribes. The ease of use is comparible although the Elektron's are more powerfull. My guess the price difference is as it should be, more money but more of everything. If you can afford it go for Elektron.
