Machinedrum Midi Question

Machinedrum Midi Question

2004-04-07 by rafe127

Hey,
I'm thinking of getting a Machinedrum and I'm curious about hooking
it to my Moogerfoogers. I know I'll need a midi/cv converter (I'm
thinking the Doepfer MCV4) and my question is: I don't know shit
about midi. OK that's not a question, what kinds of signals does MD
send that would be useful for manipulating analogue effects through
cv? Can it send rhythmic signals synced to it's bpm? What about
midi clock?

Furthermore can anyone recommend a good source for learning about
MIDI? Book, website, whatever?
Thanks for yr help,
Rafael

midi for technophobes is a good book---oh and the manual. the md has
a midi engine just like the trx engine, or any other drum synth
except that it sends midi only.
