I don't see it. I see something shaped like a Sid, but is certainly not a
Sid.

Am I just blind?

Ah ha! That does appear to be a Sid. So, so tiny. I'm gonna have to
envoke the "I'm blind" clause.

Looks like that gloomy Cleveland rat put his album sales to use. Not
to say I didn't like the music at the time. He is certainly an
influence. I just know from someone who knew who he was.

Now if he can only get creative again. I dunno I haven't listened to
his music since that one album.???

wow, never knew Trent or Charlie used a Sidstation, makes me feel better
about it now. I've had my lil SID for a lil while now and was wondering if the
Sidstation user base had died out. Can't beat the Sidstation for quick spur
of the moment programming, :D hope ya find urself one.

The infrequency of used models on the market shows me it's around still.

Charlie Clauser / Trent Reznor / BT / Richard Devine are the industry
gear hedonists for sure. I bet you could find even a Dark Star in
those studios. ;-]

I'm addicted to their sounds. My MnM is cool as hell
but it's no Sidstation. It makes all the difference in
that lil chip. I was thinkin of selling or trading my
Korg ESX and my Korg ER1 for a sidstation. If anyone
wants to work a deal with me you can email me. By the
way both my electribes are new condition.

Actually there are three up on Ebay right now (including a
Ninja)...Not to say you arent right about them still being around but
with how few were made compaired to other synths having three up on
Ebay at once seems to be quite a few.

I love my sid-station...wish there was a gui editer or more sounds
avalilbe for download for it though...

i havnt heard much from nin on the radio or tv lately. do they have a
new song? maybe they are locked in that studio, confused!? theyve got
lots of gear judging by the photos. i havnt recognised any SID sounds
in the last tracks i heard, but that was five years ago. anyway they
suck; but the SIDs cool!

straw was broken with "American Idol" over here in the US, eehh wut garbage.

(NOTE: i not tryin to come off as a jerk or anything, just think tryin to
please the public instead of pleasing yourself isn't really the point of music.
To me it all about tryin to define yourself, break new bounds, lol or just do
anything different, but then again that's my opinion....heh and u all entilted
to ur own)

NIN was and still is a driving force behind my music (if u wanna call it
that), he just did sumthing different.

As being a child of the 80's, i never really liked the cheesy synth sounds of
like the prog-rock scene or any really of the popular songs ( maybe a few
exceptions). When i first heard NIN play synths "hard" i was like "OOO THAT"S
NEW!", heh and since then been trying to come up with a mix of the 2, edgy
synths with some of that warm character, but not overdue it and make it feel like
one of grandma's sweaters.

Not sure if any others were inspired by Trent's odd mix of synths with other
sounds. Heh least me thought it was cool.
