Re: [emax] emax 1 disc question

2014-02-15 by wandamusic@...

I don't have access to an emax 2, will they read the discs and work without
going through a process for each disc, preset?

I have been reading things that suggest they may load the samples but then
a lot of work is involved.

I am hoping to buy something that will read the sounds without many hours
of work. Makes more sense to me to find what will work, rather than buy
something randomly, then acquire all the things needed to do all the work of
setting up discs on a new keyboard.

I have no way to test it and have been looking to buy something, but can't
find out for sure if emax 2 will read the discs. I am seeing that emax 2
is compatible with various emulators, but that those emulators are NOT
compatible with emax 1, which leads me to believe that emax 1 and 2 are not out
of the box compatible.

I am still holding out hope that at some point I will find an affordable
working emax 1 (se) rack.

Did you mean besides the emax2? I believe the emax 2 is the only other
sampler compatible with the emax 1

Hi, all,

Thanks for being here. ;-)

I am just wondering if anyone knows if there is ANY other sampler or
hardware device that will play emax 1 discs/presets as-is.

If not, is there any software that will play them as-is, without a lot of
fiddling, reassigning notes, ranges, etc. I don't care if it would read
supermodemap or not. Just play the sounds.

I have been searching for weeks and keep running into a dead end,
seemingly emax ll sounds might be able
to work in other samplers.

I have been looking for a used emax 1 rack unsuccessfully, so now looking
to see if there are options.

Blessings,

Wanda
