RE: [emax] Emax SE Upgrade

2003-03-11 by Rob Keeble

Hi,
I am happy to publish the Emax SE upgrade on the web site (free download)
and sort out the copyright issue with E-mu Systems. In fact I did try and
find the upgrade at Scotts Valley HQ last year, but E-mu have lost the
master. I can extend my license agreement with E-mu Systems (thanks Dave
Rossum) on "obsolete" code, to cover the Emax SE upgrade.

This license agreement means I can provide/sell Emax Boot ROM and PAL
chips - if anyone is interested let me know.

The problem is, that the original SE Upgrade change some bits in the
  eeprom.

So if you don't have the Upgrade, you can not use the SE System. After
upgrading your Emax, the upgrade disk can not use in another Emax.

I have a plain upgrade disk with the bit changing routine. But there
is a copyright from E-mu on this, so I can't publish it.

  Regards

  Carsten Ender
