sequencer triggers a separate sample set (consisting of some pitched
sound/tone) (each on a different MIDI channel) at the same time)

Yes, if you buy a "midi merger.box" e.g. two or more midi in's => one midi
out. Should cost less than $50, maybe under $20. dunno...

>*is there a way to resample the modified output as the sound is being played?

the emax to resample the effected/modified sound)

Not internally, you have to sample to DAT or another digital media to get
acceptable results. If you have an Atari computer you can transfer samples
via midi digitally to the Arati and the edit/process the samples in the
computer.

>* the type of diskettes that work with Emax I/II (DS DD) are hard to find
now? regular ones not work??

Dunno... Am a HDD guy.. lol

>*Is there a manual or other indepth info online anywhere?

Haven't seen any manual online yet.

with a MIDI footswitch?

you could of course solder a wire from your Emax-7-key and connect it to an
ordinary F-SW. But you still have to enter sample mode and adjust levels
first..:)

>*can wave or other sample files on a PC be converted to the Emax format
using the PC Emax program (or any other conversion program) ?

Dunno... Probably, but Emu still refuses (i think) to share their
sample-format-assignment-protocol with the public. If your goor at signal
analysis maybe you can write your own waw->Emax utility. (Ill buy a copy
when youre done)
