software reinstall

i bought an se upgrade disk installed it .
since then nothing works as you turn sampler on seuencer starts playing by itself .
sounds only trigger from a few keys . menues cant be entered .
from my understanding the sampler is empty every time you turn it off ?
how can i get it back to normal or reinstall the normal software ?
any help would be great
