Emax

Have just bought an Emax SE Keyboard. Just wondered if i could ask 
you a few questions about this Sampler  
 
The Emax sometimes locks up when i turn on or play, so the screen is 
ok and the disk boots up, but no response from the keys, buttons and 
no sound! like its crashed!!! - Can you shed any light on what im 
doing wrong? The Seller told me to look at the "Birdrun" (?) 
button?? 

How do i find out what software revision it is? And can i get the 
latest Software Revision for my Emax SE on floppy? 

Also is there a special code/model serial number for me to find out 
about my particular Emax SE (when it was made/OS etc)
