I still think that's enough potential for plenty of stuff you might want to
do....
I believe that modern samplers chuch in more ram *because they can* and to
look better on paper. but when you're looking at 256 MB of RAM, you don't
need a sampler, you need a HD recorder, maybe with an auto timestretch
software...
Personally, I have an MPC with 32 meg of RAM that I play live, and it is
still only pushing about 20 MB for a 1 hour set. (I also use synths live
though..) It's more likely to run out of the actual number of samples it can
have in memory, than sample RAM. Though I do find the 1/2 meg of RAM in my
emax to be a bit limiting sometimes..

Anyway, hi again... I've seen you around a bit now.... and congratulations
on your new purchase! I've often considered the idea of an emaxII, but never
quite managed to get one yet.
