Hello, I have a Baldwin IKE (Emax). In fact, that's mine in the picture on emulatorarchive.com! Baldwin and E-mu had some sort of working relation back in the 80's and several E-mu items got badged as Baldwins. Yep, they were geared for Ma & Pa music stores. But under the hood they are the same. A few things to note: The Baldwin IKE has the last rev boards used in the Emax, so that's a plus. They didn't print any programming parameters on the case so you will need to make your own sheet, but you can make it custom for whatever OS you choose to use. It's ready for SCSI, has the board, has the slot in the case for the connector, BUT the chip is missing on the board! DOH! Anyone got a dead Emax HD, I could use that chip! Since they didn't sell very well you could find them barnd new usually about 1/2 the price of the Emax. --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, moose <moose@p...> wrote: > > if you run a search on 'emu emax' you'll find, currently at $50, an emax > clone made by a company called baldwin. might be worth something to an emax > collector! > > }:-) <-- lining up the puerto rico emax... > > > email : > moose@p... > > music sites : > http://www.pigpendigital.com > http://www.alaskahighway.com > http://www.mishikawa.com
