Hi,
Your Emax might have lost a setting in the EEPROM, which controls software
release compatibility (e.g. refusing to load an SE OS when its not been
officially upgraded.) . IF it is this problem, then buy another Emax.

Well, it loads the factory disks just fine, every bit perfectly (yes, I've
gone through every single preset on the disks...). It's just when I
format
a disk.. it's VERY consistent in how it doesn't work, so I doubt that it's
just dirty.
Example: I'll format an Emu disk, which previously worked (I know, I
know... I just wanted to see if I just had a load of crappy disks), but
when
formatted it STOPS working.
I'm not even using a PC, so the virus thing isn't really possible.
I don't know.
Any other ideas?
