Re: Emax HD SCSI Zip Question

2003-10-22 by roscoe_sheridan

Yes I copied the OS to the Zip. I did figure out that it formats
quite fast....earlier today. Also.. it doesnt matter what length of
time the zip is powered up before I turn on the Emax, so I doubt it
is a question of the zip spinning up too slowly. I have tested it
with the zip powered up...from 0 to 5 mins before the Emax is turned
on. Any other ideas on why I cant boot from Zip?

Thanks for the ideas so far.

the OS to the Zip? If not you might try that. The OS must be on the
boot disk and you'll have to copy it from a floppy. After you copy
software see if it will boot. Also the Zip drive formats completely
in seconds from my experience. Hope this helps.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
