Re: [emax] Re: Internal HD Install

2004-01-15 by Brian Ronn

Hi Homershines

You could do like I've done with the harddrive installation in the Emax II.

Insted of tracking down the right brackets you could just buy a 5 1/4" plastic harddisc case which can hold a 3 ½" harddrive. Then put some paint on the screw extenders in the Emax II. Place the plastic case on top of it to mark where you should drill the holes in the plastic case. Drill the screw holes. Screw the harddrive in the case and screw the plastic case into the Emax II. It'll work well.

You should be able to get a plastic harddrive case in most computer shops for $5 to $10.

Maybe it sounds a bit tricky but actually it's straight forward.

Best regards

Brian

Thanks Matt & Brian.
Found it. It was hiding in the shadows smoking what looked to be a joint.
I called the proper authorities and will connect it to the new hard drive.
Oh boy!!! I'm tripping. Anyway, thanks again.
As for the bracket, for a loss of words, I misrepresented the facts.
They are really screw extenders.
I have to get some lucite or other safe plastic to use
as a hd case/sled.

Peace.
