RE: [emax] Emax question

2004-01-31 by Rob Keeble

Hi,
1. Try and use only DS/DD diskettes with an Emax, HD diskettes will fail
over time.
2. The SE update is software only. E-mu wrote some cool DSP software but it
wasn't available at the time of the launch, Dana Massie was the author. He
went on to create Z-plane filters and now works in his own company Flux
Networks working on PDA's.
2A.Latest non-SE OS is 3.2 CD (works with OMI CD players over RS422), latest
OS is Plus 1.0 (for external SCSI). OS 3.2 is stable release, previous
versions have lots of suptle bugs.
3. Emax and Atari ST computers for sure.
4. I supply brand new OS diskettes for all vintage E-mu samplers, along with
samples. Contact me at info@... if you need help.

Regards
Rob
