An external drive has to be terminated or the SCSI
chain won't work.
So, uhhh, how do I terminate the chain? Like, to get
access to both the internal hd and external scsi at
the same time instead of just separately??

Try this company for replacement LCD backlight:
http://www.telesisgear.com though if I
remember their prices might have seemed a little high.
I thought Emulator Archive had
some information on replacing LCD's as well.
Yeah, actually on ebay right now there are some
backlights for sale, specifically for the emax2 and
others...WWW.BACKLIGHTS.CO.UK (23.99 i think that's
usd...it's definitely not pounds..)

So neither the Pitch Bend or the Right Wheel work
under any of the assignments? My
guess is either you've got the ribbon cable plugged in
incorrectly, or something else is
fried.
-myself I'm wondering if it's just that the rackmount
hardware doesn't have the RT wheels programmed in
except for midi...i'll try again with the keyboard
synth's original guts just to make sure it's not the
ribbon (the one that leads to the wheels is keyed
after all)
one of my main concerns is still the power supply: is
the original problem which blew the fuse internal or
external...and did it affect anything permanently? How
can I test this...I understand there is a technical
manual fro the emax2 but the emulator archive link is
out of date (last time i checked)...
