new member.. and a few questions .. ;)

Hello there!

My name is Micke Askernäs and I just joined this list! =)

I have 2 old emaxes standing in my studio, that was actually given to me
for free almost a year ago ... when i got them, both machines were not
working, but i've replaced the faulty power supply on both machines with
two old power supplies i bought some 10 years ago, and they work just
great..

One of the machiens is fitted with an internal harddisk, wheras the other
one is, unfortunately, not.

the second machine also has a faulty diskdrive, but i think the one with
the working harddisk also has a working disk drive, so this can
(hopefully) be fixed..

now .. my question was: is there any way I can fit in an old scsi harddisk
i have laying about in my emax without the hd? .. or were there special
chips involved in the hd upgrade?

second: one of the keys on my emax (a "d" in case anyone is curious) is
cracked, and the spring used to make the key go back into place is missing
... is thre any way where you can get a replacement key and/or spring ?

third: the metal place with the power switch and power socket is missing
from the second emax (yes, it was rather slaughtered), but apart from
that, everything is good .... now .. is thre anyone who has a spare parts
emax who have that metal piece that i could possible buy ? =)

these old machines were painted dark grey/brownish .. and the knobs on
them were painted black ...

i've cleaned them up, and i am repainting the emax to bright white (!)
with original colour of knobs and sliders.... i am also fitting in blue
cthod lights on the back, just inside of the ventilation holes to the back
left and right... and the machines will be used mainly as live keyboards
for my band ... ;)

i'll be happy to post images of the one with fully working parts as soon
as i've finished the new paintjob and installed the lights... ;)

apart from the emaxes, i have quite a long lsit of both vintage and new
gear.... see http://www.lvls.net/gearlist.html if you're interested .. ;)

kind regards,
Micke Askernäs
