I recently purchased a pristine Baldwin/Emax from ebay. I opened it up this weekend and noted that the necessary chips are not present or the wrong type/number to do Rob (emuarchive's) SCSI upgrade. Any recommendations on how to proceed and what the chip/upgrade kits available will cost and how to get them. I have a mac running the soundesigner universal, however, isn't there a more EMAX friendly software suite out there? The samplers it lists on the pull down menu are only Akai, Roland and the EMU SP1200. I can't get it to transfer or upload samplers from or to the computer. Maybe my serial port settings are wrong? Any help appreciated.--- Bob Conner <rennocbob@...> wrote: > What about Emax II's? > > Thanks! > > Bob > --- Rob Keeble <rob@...> wrote: > > > Hi, > > E-mu shipped a variety of motherboards in Emaxs, > > especially in the late > > 80's.
