  Ok.
I pulled out my AIO [All-In-One] G3 Mac and loaded a copy of the Alchemy that is here on
this site. This AIO is running OS 9.2.1 right now. OMS is not installed. Alchemy is version
  3.0. I turned off Appetalk.

I pulled out my Emax II, which a few days ago I swore was dead. I connected the RS422
cable and then plugged it into the Mac's Modem port. I turned on the Emax II and loaded
up a preset. Its a go.

I had an error at first. Then, I got samples from the Emax II into the Mac. Starts off with the
Mac making the Emax II's disk drive go into action for a sec. It seems as if the program
sort semi-crashes as it receives the sample, but the sample appears. I have t o do some
more investigation. I don't remember this kind of thing happening back in the day.

  This is what's up:
In Alchemy, under "Network," the Emax II is selected with a little check mark. I went into
edit and made sure that RS422 is selected and that the Modem port was selected. So far, I
  have de-selected Midi patcher.

I also tried the Serial port. No go. That "No Keyboard Map" message shows up.
I'll know mor soon. I think that the midi connecton may be needed to complete the
  process. I might be wrong.

  Peace and more news later.
