Re: [emax] Emax II's for parts

Shouldn't the output boards be repairable? You should be able to take them to a tech and have him fix it.

even if there is not tech in your area, you can send one rack unit and all 3 output boards.

How did you fry all 3? Phantom power?

Subject: [emax] Emax II's for parts

I have 1 emax II keyboard, & 2 emax II rackmounts. They all have the
same problem: I fried their output boards...this is the only thing
wrong with them, although one lacks a fuse...if anyone out there needs
spare parts or has an output board that works fro either a 1mb, 4mb, or
8mb unit let's talk. Ideally i'd like to get the 8mb or 4mb one working
again, I just need one for my setup, and i'd put the working guts in my
keyboard version. Anyone who knows what chips to replace, where to get
them, and how to fix 'em please contact me - I will be very grateful
and would be happy to send out my spares for shipping cost only if you
help me get my rig going again...On an aside, If i could get my hands
on an emax 1 keyboard with scsi, I may just offer up my three dead
friends to anyone who could use them...

thanks in advance, and check out my work @ http://www.ic-
