Emax

I found the emx program (and a great collection of samples to 
download) at the emax archive.  I am having trouble downloading
sounds 
and wondered if y'all might be able to help.

I am are using is a PC compatable running Windows NT. Running in DOS 
under NT I was able to download sounds, but they sounded 'hicupy'
when played on my Emax1.

It was than suggested that we restart the computer with the dos disk 
which was made on a machine running Windows 98.  We had to use a 
utility (NTFS) in order to see the NT files.  This didn't work at all 
because we kept getting disk errors.

The emx program and all sound files are on an NT formated disk 
partition.

I appreciate any input you might have and thank you in advance for
