Most electronic equipment is designed for specific components in the system. I would not recommend you try to adapt the unit since you are not taking into consideration things such as ripple/noise. The long term effects of foreign equipment into the system. My advise is to make it simple. Enclose the external powersupply into the emax unit. Tap into the line current (before it enteres the Emax P/S).
